Mother's Day 2007

Happy (belated) Mother's Day to all the mamas out there. For our Mother's Day, we celebrated with Clara's Bamford grandparents at Harper House, which, as you may recall, we visited the same time last year. This year we got to watch Clara practice walking, play percussive instruments, and marvel at the nearby camels (yes, camels). Clara takes up to 6 or 7 steps at a time now , but she's reluctant to give up crawling entirely. She's too darn fast at it. You can see in her eyes the excitement from being upright while locomoting, but at a certain point she decides she just wants to get there ALREADY and drops to her knees. Her other new favorite accomplishment is being able to climb the stairs and go down (with assistance) the little slide at preschool. I'd take pictures, but I'm too busy hovering to catch her lest she fall. And of course, Clara is never far from her dolls. She's very good about making sure that she takes her dolls for a ride in her truck every day. She's a very conscientious doll owner, that Clara.
